A new maison, not the relaunch of an old one. Heritage that begins now.
Heritage that
begins now.
A maison built in 2026 for travellers who deserve a house of their own — not an outpost of someone else's.

Our grandfather travelled with two pieces. A leather trunk for the family, heavy and cool to the touch. A single soft duffel for himself, gifted in 1962 — and used until the day he stopped travelling, sixty-three years later.
That duffel is now in our atelier in Sonipat. The leather has darkened to the colour of strong coffee. The brass buckles are dulled in the way only sixty years of pockets and palms can dull them. We did not begin Völtz because we wanted to make a brand. We began Völtz because we wanted to make objects of that quality, and we wanted them made here.
Two decades of working in luxury houses in Florence and Paris taught us that there is no good reason an Indian house cannot be among the very best. We have the leather. We have the artisans. We have, quite suddenly, the customer. What we lacked was a maison willing to do the unglamorous work of making heritage from scratch — and naming itself after itself, not after a town in France.
So we are doing it. Slowly. With the long view. Welcome to the maison.

An Indian house can be among the very best. The difficulty is not the leather, or the artisan, or the customer. The difficulty is to do the unglamorous work of making heritage from scratch.
A new maison, not the relaunch of an old one. Heritage that begins now.
Aerospace aluminum, anodised three times. Hand-finished in our Sonipat atelier by a single artisan.
The Heritage Warranty. Repair before replacement. Most pieces outlast the warranty by a decade.
Delhi · Mumbai · Bangalore. With Hyderabad and a London concept opening MMXXVII.
Our atelier sits on a road that has run between the Yamuna and the Aravallis since the Sultanate. The artisans we work with are people we have known for years. Their work is as good as anyone's in Florence, and the question of who matters as much to us as the question of what.
Every piece carries the serial of the artisan who finished it. We believe in repair before replacement. Most cabins live considerably longer than the ten-year warranty.
Inside the atelierFor two centuries the world's great houses outfitted the Indian elite. We thought it time we returned the favour.
Völtz exists for the modern Indian traveller — the entrepreneur on a Heathrow layover, the bride in transit through Doha, the family that takes its monsoons in Salzburg. Built here. Priced honestly. Engineered to outlast you.
